A "rainwork" is a type of street art
that is invisible until revealed by water

It began with friends making art.

In 2015, an artist named Peregrine Church invented a method for creating invisible artwork that would only appear on rainy days.

He called the pieces "rainworks"

He recruited his friend, Xack Fischer, to help bring the idea to life. Together, they began decorating the streets of Seattle.

A Video Changed Everything

In 2015, a viral video about Rainworks caught the world's attention.

Suddenly, Peregrine & Xack were getting hundreds of emails from people who wanted to create their own rain-activated art.

They launched a Kickstarter campaign and successfully raised over $50,000 to bring their product to launch.

8 Years of Creativity

Over the next 8 years, Xack would continue to work with Rainworks.

He became the company's primary videographer and photographer until he stepped away from the project in 2023.
